TOURNAMENT / MATCH RULES

The TOURNAMENT OF LEGENDS (TOL) will implement the following rules for all Exhibition games and Championship seasons as follows

MATCH DURATION

1. All matches in the Preliminary Rounds will be played for 90 mins. If the game results in a draw, there will be five (5) x 5 sec shootouts. Thereafter, if the game is still drawn, then a sudden death 5 sec shootout will be implemented. | Play-Offs Games will be played for 90 mins, with 10 mins extra time in the event of a draw. If the game still results in a draw after the 10 min extra time, there will be three (3) x 5 sec shootouts. Thereafter, if the game is still drawn, then a sudden death 5 sec shootout will be implemented.

2. The 90 min game will be played with four (4) x 22.5 min quarter sessions with 2 min water breaks inclusion. There will be no Goal Post changes during these 2 min breaks.

HALF TIME

3. A 20 mins Half time will be established at the end of 45 mins playing time.

SUBSTITUTION

4. A total of 3 subs will be available for each team in each 22.5 quarter period - equal to 12 subs per game.

YELLOW CARD

5. A total of 2 yellow cards will lead to a cooldown-timeout period of 10 mins | a 3rd yellow card will lead to a 15 mins cooldown-timeout | if said player receives a 4th yellow card, that player will have to leave the playing field for an additional 20 mins cooldown-timeout or for the remainder of the game, whichever is first. There will be no game suspensions for any player - each game will be a new start of yellow cards

NO PENALTY KICKS

6. There will be no penalty kicks at any time during the games.

7. Preliminary Rounds: If a game is a draw after full mins in the regular season matches, each team will get five(5) shootout opportunities. If a draw still results after said five (5) shootouts, there shall be a sudden death shootout to declare a winner.

8. Play-offs and Final Series: An extra 10mins will be allowed to declare a winner if game result is a draw . If after said extra 10 mins and the game is still in a draw position, only three (3) x 5 sec shootouts will be available for each team, after which a sudden death shootout will be implemented to declare the winner.

NO THROW IN BALLS

9. There will be no throw-in balls during a game. Once a ball has crossed over the line and the linesman has raised his flag, that ball becomes a “dead ball” and shall be quickly placed for an instant short or long pass by a player rewarded for such by the referee on the field.

REFEREE REPLAYS

10. Replays will be only considered when in the penalty area.

INFRINGEMENT

11. Contact infringement in the penalty area will result in a single 5 sec shootout.

LIVE MICROPHONES

12. All match officials will wear a live microphone during match time.

13. All Coaches will be wearing a live microphone.

14. Both Goal Posts will be wired with a live microphone.

FORMAT / POINT SYSTEM

15. There are no draw games during the regular preliminary rounds and play-off rounds. A draw game is allowed only the during the Best of 3 games Championship series finals.

16. Points are only rewarded for Goals Scored : 5 points for each goals scored in regular 90 mins of a game | 3 points for each goal scored during extra time | 2 points each for 5 sec shootout goalS.
